Okay Here it is.........

Gorilla...

A young man was going to be house-sitting for a rich, eccentric man. The
homeowner told the young man that he would have the house for 3 months, could drink and eat anything in the house, use all the electronic equipment, make long distance phone calls, have parties, swim in the pool, and on and on.

The young man was just amazed, and thinking "OH YEAH". But finally, the man told him that the one thing he could not do was touch his gorilla.

Gorilla? Sure enough, the man took him to the basement, through a series of doors that were locked, and more and more complicated and difficult to open, and finally, there in a huge room was a gigantic gorilla in a cage.

The young man was so stunned, and shy, he did not ask why he couldn't touch the gorilla, he just nodded his head.

The man left. For weeks the young man had a ball. Parties, friends, food,
it just never stopped. Until, finally, it was all getting rather tiresome. He resorted to watching TV. Then he really got bored. It was at this point
that he decided to investigate the gorilla. And as he opened all those doors, he decided he was going to touch the gorilla. What could happen?

And, so, he did. The gorilla went crazy, banged the sides of the cage,
until it fell apart. But by this time the young man was running through the
house, and heard the gorilla following him. Finally he ran out the door, jumped in the closest car (which happened to be a nice convertible) and peeled out.

The gorilla was right behind him. He was going 30 mph. The gorilla was
right behind him. 40 mph. Right behind. 50 mph. Right behind. 60 mph.
Right behind. He went even faster, and the gorilla could keep up... it was
so scary.

Finally, he was going just over 100 mph. The gorilla was still right
behind him and catching up!

Then he saw this big hairy arm reaching out ... coming for him. The gorilla
touched him on the shoulder and said

................"Tag, .....you're it!"

Happy Valentines Day to You!

Never mind the Valentine bring on the Pancakes

Well, this may be controversial but as the last post of ours generated NO comments (what's the matter with you people, Cat caught your tongue???) , I thought I'd follow on from Lee (see IHOP) and talk about Pancakes.

Now I know it's Valentines day next week, Gill and I always agree to pass that one by as far as we are concerened it should be valentines day everyday.... HA! I hear you say, but ask Gill first... it's true and we hate entering into the exhorbatent expense of a so called 'Special Day'. Ok?????

Now, here in the UK we have another special day called 'Shrove Tuesday'........ in lay-mans terms it's 'PANCAKE DAY'. Do you know when it is this year???? Well, you'd better find out or your going to miss it. Now you might be saying to yourself, we can have pancakes anyday, especailly those of you across the big pond, but 'Pancake Day is special, people do the weirdest things with them. They Toss Them???? They run with them in a 'frying pan' and have races through the streets????? They Throw them???? The list is endless and only the Brits could come up with such an amazing day.

Now our friend Christine mentioned she had a special recipe, so we've pressed her!!!!! and here it is

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
1 1/3 cups milk
butter for frying

put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz.
leave the batter for 20 minutes before using it. Allow 2 tbsps of batter per pancake, cook in hot buttered pan, when the upper side of the pancake is blistering and bubbling it's time to cook the second side, and this needs only about 1 minute, if that.

Don't blame me if you get fat!................. Hhhhmmmmmmmm PANCAKES!!!!!!!!!

Oh you of Little Faith......

Well, the conference is over, and it was a great time for us all!
Why do we worry? ......Oh you of little faith!

There was an amazing sense of family and unity in the church for the whole time.
Meeting people that we had never met before except by e-mail, showed us how wonderfully the Lord is using the medium of the internet to connect us as Christians all around the nation and further afield.
Peter flew in from Texas and John from France! Steve & Mary from Isle of Skye, Angie from Cornwall.... and many many more, every region was represented.
......What commitment to the vision!

Listening to the teachings, the seminars and the testimonies, peoples different experiences of prayer week, they were exciting and envisioning, stirring us up to think that maybe we could take an idea or two for ourselves.......

Worship, well what can we say? it was loud, contemporary, anointed and AWESOME!

Godfrey Birtill is the only guy we know who can stir up the warrior spirit within you through his music, he carries the sound of today, the sound of a nation is despair and the sound of the army arising in a new strength to bring healing, restoration and deliverence to a broken land, and a hurting, lost people!

The team at 'PDBC' who served in all areas, from cleaning, cooking, welcoming etc. were simply the best, they made the conference for us the easiest we've ever done!
when every part of the body is working together for the good of the church, well, it is how God meant to be. Thanks guys, we were overwhelmed by your willing hearts, we couldn't do it without you....

Prayer Week is now happening in 79 different nations throughout the world.
We are being prepared to reap a global harvest!!!!!!
There is power in standing together in prayer (Matthew 18:19)
So what will happen when we find the whole world praying together for the week 7-14th May???????
I tell you...God is on the loose!!!!!

Are you encouraged... envisioned... and empowered?
If you're not already, why not join us forPrayer Week 2006.

I'm Scared!!! Are You???

Hi

Well tomorrow some 100+ people from all around the UK are coming to our church to hear all about 'Prayer Week'.
What is it?
How do I do it?
How do I get churches working together? etc. etc. etc.

We both agree it's an awesome responsibility and about a week ago we thought, 'What on earth are we doing?', 'Who do we think we are?' What on earth are we going to say?

It's a totally human reaction, and we felt fear.........

But in His gracious way, God brings your heart to Him and calms the 'soul' so the spirit within can rise, and now we are excited and thrilled to be sharing what God has done during the last 7 years............ It's a priviledge........ Thank You God,

Now send your fire!!!!!!!!!!!
